The different stages of post-production by Filmatik in Los Angeles

Post-production is the production phase of a film where images and sound are gathered, edited and formatted to create the final product.

The images are in the box, it's ok! And now? It's time to sublimate all this!

In our studio, we offer several services related to post-production.

It is important to note that these services can be combined to meet the specific needs of each project.

Motion design and 3D animation

Motion design is the creation of animated graphics for movies, music videos, commercials, trailers, etc. This can include creating animated logos, animated typography, transitions, titles, etc.

3D animation is the creation of images or animated sequences using 3D modeling software. This can include the creation of characters, scenery, objects, etc.

Special effects

This is the addition of visual effects to enhance the aesthetics of the video. Effects can include explosions, fires, storms, clouds, reflections, etc.

Video editing

It's about bringing the different shots together to create a cohesive story. Unnecessary footage is removed and the best takes are selected to create an effective rhythm and narrative.

Audio mixing

This involves adjusting the sound levels of different audio tracks to create a balanced sound. It is important to ensure that the voice-over, music and sound effects do not overlap and that they are all audible.

Colorimetry and calibration

This involves adjusting the colors, brightness, contrast, and saturation of each shot individually to create a consistent look throughout the film and achieve cinematic images. These can be minor adjustments or more significant corrections. Once the calibration is complete, the film is checked again on different monitors to ensure that the colors are correctly represented.

Export

This involves exporting the video in the format required for streaming, such as different video file formats, different codecs, different resolutions, etc.
